Speaking of embroidery...I was out camping this past weekend. Seeing as its the beginning of a new month, I thought it would be great timing to bring my September Birdie Stitches with me. I had a great time stitching this while traveling. Even had a few curious friends took a stab at stitching, which was super cool.
I really like this month's template with the changing leaves. However, when I finished it I realized it looks a lot like a tree on fire instead of a tree with changing leaves. So it goes. The colors still make me happy.
That doesn't look like a tree on fire! It does look like a fabulous block though.
ReplyDeleteThis is goreous. Shall we call the birdie 'Moses' then? Jxo
ReplyDeleteI love the September Birdie Stitches block and yours looks gorgeous! I'm almost finished my May block - oops getting a bit behind!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your wins!! The embroidery is so lovely. I love your birdy block and the tree does NOT look like its on fire! You inspire me to want to take up embroidery, but I can hardly keep up with the quilting thing!
ReplyDeleteGreat block, and lovely patterns.
ReplyDeleteYou're a braver woman than I camping last weekend!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on a lovely win - and I love the exploding tree xx
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable. I love the combination of embroidery and patchwork.
ReplyDeleteEeek, I am so behind on my Birdie Stitches! I've been faithfully bringing my embroidery bag with me everywhere I go, but something keeps happening where I'm not sitting still for even 15 minutes. Oh well, soccer season is just around the corner and I'll have a full 60 minutes, once a week to catch up. I love the September block, fire tree and all :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning those adorable designs!
I love this little embroidery project! So whimsical! You've inspired me to get needle and thread out and make something!
ReplyDeleteGreat! Sometimes I also used these type of colourful embroidery designs for my little nephews, because most children attracted with colourful designs like this. <3 :)
