That's right. You read that correctly. I am THAT far behind in my Modern Stitching blocks, which is so very not me. I was Miss November in our Modern Stitching bee. I asked my bee buddies to make two Depression Block using this
tute. I wanted super scrappy, bright fabrics on a white background. My hive mates have been sending their blocks my way and they are just spectacular, but I still had not made my blocks...until now. Shame. Shame on me.
What was absolutely super is that when
Leanne sent her blocks, she included 16 extra HSTs that didn't suit her blocks (according to her...I think they're beautiful!), so I was able to mix hers in with mine to make 3 blocks. Super! Thanks so much, Leanne. Thank you too,
bee buddies, for your blocks. This is going to be so pretty when it's finished!
You will have such a bright and sunny quilt when those blocks come together. Di x

ReplyDeleteOh hell, I've got to actually post mine. Making them is not quite enough, is it?!
ReplyDeleteOh hell, I still haven't finished my ones from last July, you can be as late as you like with your own bee blocks ;o)
ReplyDeleteI love your blocks, and am glad you were able to use the extra hsts. The quilt will be so fun.
ReplyDeleteThese are so bright and cheerful - not depressing at all! Jxo
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing this one done!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt will be lovely "when" it's finished...which is the key word, right?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing all these blocks together! Not necessarily stitched together, maybe just laid out on the floor?!
ReplyDeleteThat's going to be such a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteGonna be a beauty xxx
ReplyDeleteYour blocks look great. This is the same block I am thinking of doing in my bee! Love seeing yours!
