I can not believe how quickly this week has gone by. I have very little to show for it. Here is the mini-news, but its the best I can do.
There are now 43 lovely ladies signed up for the great Goodie Swap, which is beyond my hopes and expectations. We are all really excited to get going, but sign ups will continue to Friday. To get an idea of what my current mug rug crushes are, just have a peek at the mosaic I posted yesterday. I wonder what my partners will make for me...or what I will make for them?
Lattice Illusions is FINISHED! No need to say more except that I am completely thrilled with the finished product. It is a present, so I hope the recipient likes it too.
I conquered 3 of 4 Community Quilt corners. They were so much harder than I thought they would be. Had to adjusting my "calibrated" quarter inch seam, which clearly wasn't a quarter inch just to have seams match up. Come to find out that indeed the machine is set up just fine and my needle is bent! (Lesson learned - change your needle regularly.) Painful, painful last little step. Still, I have 3 finished and have stitched two and the connecting border onto one side of the top.
I ran out of little scrap 2 inch squares to finish the outer border of the corner 4, but more fabric on its way. Yippee for Celtic Fusion Fabrics small packs!
With Lattice Illusions finished, I can start a new project! Here I will use a pattern called Mod Logs by Della Gardner. Ages ago I bought two jelly rolls of Moda Fresh Flowers for this project, along with a Kona White background fabric. I am really happy to finally jump into something new.
As usual on a Wednesday, I am linking up with Freshly Pieced WIP Wednesday.

Your Lattice quilt looks great! I'm sure the person receiving it will love it! That Mod Log pattern looks fun, too! Off to check out that mosaic maker...
Ooo, I like that Mod Logs pattern; can't wait to see how yours works up in those pretty fabrics.
Bent needle!?! Div x
Lol at Hadley, she sounds like my DH! Needles are frustrating things, always give trouble at the worst possible moment! Your corner looks great and that new pattern looks very fab! Must get my mosaic for the foodie swap :-)
Ps if u are short of small scraps again don't buy them drop me a line I always have lots!
That corner looks great and I also like the Mod Logs pattern.
