Giveaway Day! Giveaway Day!

It's the day we've all been waiting for!  Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day!  I'm so excited I just don't know where to start.

Hi to my regular FSQ friends. I miss you guys, but hope to be back blogging and reading your blogs soon enough.  To those just finding FSQ, welcome!  I'm so glad you're here!  Have a little look around, please :)

Right. Onto the giveaway.  Would you like a big, lovely stack of fabric to make something spectacular?  Well, how about yummy ECHINO prints?  I am in love with them.  There are 13 (yes, lucky 13) total with 8 at 9x10 inches and 5 at 9x19 inches.  Enough for a cute bag, several pouches or even a mini-quilt.

But wait!  You're going to need solids too!  I have a stack of 5 KONA solid fat quarters that coordinate.  They're a bit bigger than your usual fat quarter at 26x19 inches.

How do you get your hands on these beauties?  There are several ways:

One entry: leave a comment below telling me your favorite fabric designer.
Second entry: become a follower and leave a second comment telling me what fabric line you just don't understand what the hub-bub is about
Third entry: blog about this particular giveaway (and leave the link in your comment) to spread the word of this Echino extravaganza

Winner will be chosen by random number generator on 16 Dec.  I'm happy to ship anywhere in the world.

That's it!  Super easy!  Wishing you the best of luck and have a fantastic time blog hopping!

Amy Butler was the designer who introduced me into the world of designer fabric, so i will always have a soft spot for her, even though her last couple lines haven't really been my style.

Lindsay said...

Anna maria Horner and Heather Ross are my favorites!

To have to choose a designer is really difficult. There are so many talented and creative designers that I couldn't pick just one. I love all of them and when there is something I see or want, I just buy it and if is from a designers, good for me and good for the designer. Your giaveway is awesome and any quilter would sure be happy as well as appreciative. Someone could actually start making a small quilt next year. Thank you for making this giveway special.

Merry Christmas

If I had to pick one favorite designer, it would be Lotta Jansdotter. I've admired her blockprint fabrics for a long time!

Calikisses said...

I am a follower, and I am going to say Ruby. I just don't see the huge appeal about it. It is lovely, but a little blah, in my opinion.

It's hard to name a favorite, because I love so many, but I think Martha Negley is dependably excellent and I always love what she produces. So, Martha Negley it is.

Art can be terribly subjective, I was in the hospital a few days ago looking at the work on the walls of it's lobby and tried hard to fathom why anyone would make random marks on a canvas like that..it was interesting but made no sense to me. The very next day, going by the same painting but under considerable pressure personally and feeling it, I was about to enter the lift of that same lobby and the same picture caught my eye. Then that picture spoke to me loud and clear..it looked exactly like I felt...stretched and under pressure!! I had my answer! I feel loathe to critise anyone's art because they may be valid and useful and appropriate to other's if not to me. It was a wonderful feeling to have a piece of art (painted by a human being who had felt what I felt perhaps)communicate to me that I was not alone in my suffering..I was heard! It was a precious moment!

Deb said...

I am a follower and don't really have a designer that doesn't do it for me...It's more about colors for me. I didn't Ruby Star Rising when it came out, but have seen some amazing things made with it, so have totaly changed my mind about this fabric.

Hrm. Picking a favorite designer is tough, but if pressed I might say that either Malka Dubrovky (I'm sure I just got her last name wrong) or Heather Ross are favorites.

Thank you for the giveaway!

Kiza said...

While I realize that I'm probably going to be stoned by the quilting community...I don't quite get the attraction to Amy Butler prints. There are a few that are kind of pretty but, as a whole, I just don't see the attraction.

My favorite is Marcia Derse--oh, I just love her designs!

Deborah said...

Not a fan of thirties fabric.

♥Duff said...

alrighty! I am now a follower!
Let's see, I really don't care for many Riley Blake prints and part of that is due to the company trying to pass off even smaller cuts at a greater price (e.g., rolie polies, stackers).

I think my favourite designer might be Laura Gunn - I just love the over-sized florals and the beautiful painting. But then, maybe my favourite is Aneela Hooey and her whimsy. Or Joel Dewberry and his exquisite colour sense. Who can choose a favourite really?

(clumsy.chord(at)gmail.com)

kimmysue said...

Kaffe Fassett is my favorite fabric designer.

kimmysue said...

Saying whose fabric I don't like seems mean, so I am not going to, but I am not a fan of teeny all-over calico print type fabrics. Especially if it's complementary colors- it just tends to read as muddy.

Unknown said...

I love Echino Prints...(plus anything cool I can find in a thrift shop)
