Lovin' Liberty...Still

I woke up to a crisp winter morning today.  By the time I could grab my camera and put on my hat and mittens, the neighbours were out having breakfast.

I was lucky enough to have a little parcel waiting for me last night.  I could not resist a little online shopping spree a few days ago to stock up on Liberty for a project I have in mind.  I needed one red print and one deep blue print and was lucky enough to find two I did not already have.

If I am honest, they would not be my first choice in prints.  Well, clearly they did not call my name when I was snapping up FQs at the Knitting and Stitching show.  Still, when you look at them closely they are pretty.

Most importantly I do like them with their FQ counterparts.  I'm ready to start cutting, then!  Will I tell you what project I have in mind?  Nope...might leave you in suspense a bit longer.  What I have in mind is so 2012, but I've never been one for keeping up with trends!

Really? You're about to start something that's, like, so last year? ;-) Bet it'll look fabulous :-)

I love the red one! It would make the 'A' team in this house. Off you go then, start cutting and then you can let us in on this secret project.

I think Liberty is sometimes a Marmite fabric - we love it 'cos it's Liberty, but would hate it if it had a different name on it?!?

These fabrics are beautiful Cindy - and please let's not have fashions in quilting. If you are doing a swoon or a grannie or any other craze, then I love that!

Could it be Granny Square? That's the only thing I can think of right now that did the rounds! (Oh, and Mod Pop)!

I love those neighbours! I have some of those new liberty fabrics and I do love it. I wonder what you will make with yours, I am still deciding what to do with mine.

I have a Liberty horde which started in my clothes making days! So one day I must do a Liberty quilt or they will be able to bury me in Liberty!

Intrigued ! Maybe you will be starting the revival! The second wave! Keep going then...

Oh go with 2012, every time, Retro is in, you know!

I have those prints in a charm bundle of liberty, which is just getting to the yes, I know what I am doing stage of development!

And liberty prints are funny, If you look too closely, or, anyway if I do, I do not like them. From further off, or put together I love them! So I understand where you are coming from with that!
