A Fluffy Pup

I am so pleased to tell you all that this little ball of fluff has joined the Fluffy Sheep household.  She is a Golden Retriever, turning 9 weeks old today.  She has joined us from Portaferry, Northern Ireland. It was a long day to pick her up and bring her home.  She was an absolute champ during our 5 hour drive home!

As she's a pup, there's a whole lot of chewing going on.  She's loving this little knotted rope bone thing.

It makes her so very happy!

She has been a delight to house break.  We did have a few minor "issues" last night, which were quickly cleaned up by disinfectants and paper towels.  She thinks a paper towel is a great time!  I had to give her the central roll to play with just so I could do a proper clean...at 4AM.

All in all, though, she's settling in just fine.  She melts my heart every time she catches my eye.  Any little girl this relaxed will surely blend into the household with ease.

We don't know her name yet.  Do you guys remember how we all chatted about Kona, Kokka, Bobbin, Bella a few weeks ago?  They just don't seem to suit her.  Molly is still bubbling up in my head and Perle bounces in/out.  I'll let you know when we settle on something.

I'm sure you're also wondering about Clarkson (the cat).  They have met and it went relatively well.  Last night they even had a little nose rub when they passed going in/out of the back door.  She (the dog) is interested, but really can't be bothered with Clarkson.  Clarkson wants to know what's making so much noise.  He's curious and is spending lots of time just watching the pup.  I think they're going to be just fine with a little more time.

You got her! Absolute cuteness!! I'm glad Clarkson isn't huffed and - I must say - I rather like Perle as a moniker. Although everyone will assume she is Pearl. What a cutie, though.

she is cute! Isn't it great to get up at 4am and clean the house! I would love to have one and my son would be delighted .. but I do not want to walk for three hours every day in every weather.

have I told you how clever I am at naming? My dog is Diogy. D-O-G. BUT we call her DD because Her full name is Duchess Diogy and my husband refuses to call a dog D-O-G. LOL

So, just know that you must be better at it than me!!!hehehe

Oh Cindy, she's perfect! If there's one thing we've learnt from our own dear Chutney, nothing phases a Retriever....and if they can do their un-phasing lying down, then so much the better! Enjoy! x

I am not a dog person but I love golden retrievers, labradors, border collies and King Charles Cavaliers! Have fun -- our cross labrador chewed for many years!

Oh Cindy, she is gorgeous. I love Golden Retrievers. That's what we had when I was growing up. Fabulous dogs. Your little household is growing. You will eventually have a whole menagerie. How about a donkey next?!

I've got me one of those! I am a fan of puppies in general, but Golden puppies are particularly adorable little fuzz-balls. By the way, they never do outgrow the chewing thing. My 5-year-old still needs to have something constantly in his mouth. Fortunately, it's generally a toy! Have fun with her--either Molly or Perle sounds like a great name!

Ever so precious. Health and Happiness to you all. I have no suggestions for a name, my last 3 dogs were named for Disney characters. I have no imagination at all.

She's gorgeous - look at those paws!!

I love Perle for a name but then went on a diversion after reading Lynz's comment and ending up with 'Queenie'...

Cindy, she is one cute beauty.

Congratulations. :) My older dog is half boxer, half golden retriever and I couldn't love her any more than I do. They definitely worm their way into your heart on the fast track don't they?

Oh my she's a beauty. So so cute. She looks like she would suit the name 'Cotton' :)

She is adorable! What have you decided to call her? And I expect she will be better in the house soon, if not try a crate (den), they work so easily and many dogs are keen to keep them forever. Mine was not happy to see it go (it was huge, he is a big dog).
