Birdie Stitches: November & Moving Photos

It is still November, right? Finished just in time! Since I do not have my sewing machine up and purring, I did a little embroidery on the November Birdie Stitches block.  You know, when these started (Jan - May) I really liked the burst of color in each block, the detail and the variety of things for your eye to look at.  The October and November templates are pretty dull in my opinion. Uninspired and blah.  I will have to go back and spruce them up a bit. Anyway, here we are for now:

In other news, the move is slowly coming along well. The sewing room was packed and has been transported to the new house. It is not unpacked, but will be this upcoming weekend.  It's so sad to see my little projects all wrapped up like this!

This herd of cows will be our neighbors. I was super excited...until Susan got me a little nervous about the noises they make.  Fingers crossed this is a quiet herd!

And finally, lucky number 11 is our winner for the Mod Logs pattern giveaway.  Marcia, of Run to Mama, will receive my (slightly used) copy of the pattern.  I am really excited to see what colors she chooses to use!

Cows can make some odd noises. Last year after 20 odd years of invitations I went to visit a cousin in Somerset. She lived in a beautiful thatched house down a lane by a picturesque church and with a view of fields behind her house. When we arrived a cow had died in the field. It was just laying there rather stiff looking. A while later I was catching up with the rest of the extended family in the garden - all very civilised when the farmer decided to tow the cow away by dragging it across the field by it's back legs using his tractor. It was a very bizarre sight indeed.

I love having cows for neighbours! They only make a real row when their calves are taken away - and who can blame them! Hope all your moving is going well. Your birdie stitching looks nice :)

Just ask the farmer to keep the bullocks well away, as we have learned those are the demented noisy ones around us!

Love the birdies in the block!

As for the cows, I'm sure they'll be quiet as long as the boys aren't around ;o)

Oh I am so wanting to go on a cow-shoving tour, what with you and Susan living so temptingly close to such fun!!

You will be able to predict the weather now - something to do with rain coming when all the cows lie down I think! Good luck with the shift!

Now those are some neighbors that I would love to have!

Your birdies are just adorable! So cute. I never even knew cows make noises except for an occasional moo. Love all the open space. So nice.

Sorry - just remembering about Susan's demented cows noises. I'm sure you'll be fine though :)
Ooooh good luck unpacking your sewing stuff this weekend. Such fun arranging a new sewing space.

I would be more thinking about the smell than the noise but it will be lovely in the sunshine!
