Free Motion Friday 5: Stomach Lining

Hope you are all well and your stitching is coming along beautifully!  To remind you, this week we were trying to stitch something resembling this Halloweenish Stomach Lining pattern from the Free Motion Quilting Project.

How did you do?  Well, much to my surprise I really enjoyed this pattern.  I have been so scared of curves, but here I kind of got into a vibe.  I was a little lost, though, when I got to an edge and had to loop back (as you see in the upper left corner).  I should have just traveled along the edge a bit and started another concentric circle.  Live and learn.

What's up for next week?  Had enough with curves?  What about going back to straight lines and trying these Pine Needles

We can use this handy-dandy video:

Join in the linky below and see what others were up to this week. Spread the encouragement and tips, please!  It's the only way we will learn.  If you need a reminder on the spirit of Free Motion Friday, please read the original post again.

I like the how you changed direction after making the initial middle part. It looks like you have placed a small flower or clover in the middle.

You did great Cindy - I shall try and get mine up tomorrow.

Oh that does look like a tough one... well done with it!

Great job! The pattern looks tough. I haven't had a chance to practice last week's or this week's pattern, so I will have some catching up to do next week.

Like Hadley I get caught out every week when I think Leah's sample is by you! You've done great this week and your little wiggles are lovely and curved. I've linked up Nicky's blog as she's away at the moment, hope that's ok (and that she doesn't do it herself tomorrow!)?

I am seriously impressed! Well done with this one.

Good job madam! The little center reminds me of the little background flowers on Sponge Bob.

I'm thinking that I'll get enough time to sit down and do this. I may do a crash course to catch up one Sunday.

Excellent work, Susan! I think this week's pattern was a little tougher than beginner, but you did a great job on it! I'm pretty excited about next week's pattern. Straight lines seem to like me a little better than curves!

Hi again- according to Kiki's instructions I should be available- and have been all along, so I do not know why I am again 'no reply'

What a neat idea! I am going to try this stitch out this week and hopefully be able to link up. I have just done the random FMQ pretty much on everything except one quilt which I tried to make flowers FMQ style! Thanks for bringing me back to the FMQ Project, I was looking at it a while back but forgot about it.
