To liven up my brand spankin' new blog AND give you an idea of what I like to make, I thought it would be a good idea to post a few photos. For a nice, quick, easy afternoon project I make little stuffed monsters.
This is Ned and he was my first attempt. There have been a few monsters in my life since Ned, but I tend to give them away before I can take a photo! Ned was made from the book Make a Monster by Fiona Goble. This book is filled with several patterns at different skill levels, each as cute as the next. A great way to spend any weekend!
I made this little guy, Buddy Bunny, from a book by Boo Davis called Dare to Be Square. Although the book is primarily focused on quilting (and there are a few really great patterns here), there are a few "extras" like place mats, an apron, book covers, etc included.
The original idea was to make a few softies to give to nieces and nephews as gifts, but somehow the adults in my life are scooping them up as quickly as I can make them!
I really like the fleece-based guys (like Ned). Are you making fleecey monsters too? Where are you getting your patterns - or are you making them yourself? I am always interested to see what else is out there, so leave a note and let me know what works for you.

I can see why the adults in your life scoop them up. They're fantastic! I love Ned particularly. Apparently I'll have to track down that book!
My first comment! Sandy, I am thrilled :) Thank you. I'll have a review of the book posted in a few days, but to cut to the chase it is a really nice little treat.
