Instead of these pretty Pine Needles by Leah at the Free Motion Quilting Project. Argh!
I was nearly ready to throw in the towel (or quilting sandwich - what ever). Not to fear, though! Leah Day to the rescue! Out of the blue Miss Leah emailed me (Hi, if you're reading this!) and asked me to try out her Machingers, Supreme Slider and the Little Genie Magic Bobbin Washers and tell her what I think. Well, of course I will! (Duh, who wouldn't!?!?) So, she shipped a sample over and I will give them a try using this week's pattern. I will let you all know my honest thoughts after giving them a try! I am most excited about the Supreme Slider as the bump in my machine bed seems to always be my problem (or at least my current excuse).

Curves and lines to keep both teams happy!
Now that you are such a famous person Cindy do we have to tug our forelock before talking to you?? Tugging mine now - ouch!
You are not far off Leah's perfect pine needles - do remember she has had a lot more practice than us! But I will be expecting perfection when you use all these gadgets next week! Hehe! No pressure!
Not bad at all, Cindy! I can't trace those lines, either, but I still think straight stitching likes me better than curves. Next week's pattern looks fun. And yes, I'm expecting near-perfection from you with all your new gadgets!
I think in general I prefer curves. Your pine needles look good! They aren't far from Leah's! I use the supreme slider etc and I like them. Couldn't live without the gloves! Haven't tried this weeks design yet hopefully tonight! :)
I think your pine needles look marvelous! I have to tell you, I wouldn't FMQ without a Surpreme Slider. I think you will be amazed. I'm liking the next design, can't wait to try it. Thanks for hosting such a great linky!

Aww man how awesome is that?! Actually like your pine needles better (sorry Leah!) so you're doing really well in my opinion :-) I'm really looking forward to your opinion on the stuff she's sending you, I'd read all about it and heard her talking about them, but buying overseas etc.. expensive for us, so I'd love to hear whether you HONESTLY think they help! (no pressure... lol)
Love your pine needles and how great was it to get an email from Leah?!! I know Barnyarns sells them, I've not tried them and I'll be interested to hear what you think about them!

Cindy, your pine needles look good to me. I like the look of a little space when retracing the line. It makes the needles stand out. Very exciting news on the Leah toys you will be trying. I use the supreme slider and also have an index card covering my feed dogs (I leave the feed dogs up). Can't wait to hear your opinions.
