Wow. How could this be my first time making mug rugs!?!?! Oh, this may be a serious addiction. The immediate satisfaction is so rewarding. I also love that you can use a little bit of your favorite fabrics, making me super happy while not depleting my already mini-stash.
So, I made two mug rugs this weekend for my two Goodie Swap partners. I truly, truly hope they are happy with these.
Partner 1 is (thank goodness) open, chatty and gives great hints in flickr and on her blog of what she likes. I hope she likes what I created for her!
Partner 2 is a (again, thankfully) a regular blogger and also chatty on flickr. However, I can't find the pattern in her "favorites". Some times her "likes" are super modern, bright and geometric while other times they are a little more vintage and pastel. Does this mean I am missing something or that she loves it all? I do not know, but that's part of the game, right? I took the modern route and hope she likes this. If not, I have another mug rug in mind that I am also completely happy to make. Anyway, let's give this a go for now...
and the back...
Off to make goodies. I have a few ideas for my two goodies. Oddly, Partner 2 is easily sorted and will be finished tonight. I'm sure she'll like it. Partner 1 is more difficult here, but I have an idea to start with. Watch this space :)

How do I end up being both partners!! OK, I'll share if I have to!
No, Hadley cant be BOTH your partners, cos clearly I am. lol. Great work Cindy, Owly is amazing, and I love the bright modern one too :-)
that owl is too kool for skool Miss Cindy! I am going to be jealous of the "winner" if it does not turn up in my mailbox. Indeed will quite probably will go off in a huffy sulk LOL...
I don't think I could be your second partner though. Because I'm sure if it was me you would certainly not doubt my love for rainbow wonky log cabins!! Love it.
Great work! Can't wait to see the goodies :)
xx
Partner 2 could be me - I can't decide if I love mod or trad - torn both ways! Basically I'm greedy and want it all!
This rock my mod side - fab colours love them all - my mugrug 2 is a stripey affair!
I have a feeling we all think one of these is for us...someone is going to be very disappointed when one of these is mine! LOL>
No, the owl's for me - the spectator prize ;o) No??? (hangs head) worth a go ;o) They're both wonderful - lucky partners!
Well, either Nicky or I could be dissapointed, because I also sound like partner 2: I love a bit of everything. And if I were your partner 2 I would LOVE your 2nd mug rug.
Its hard trying to decide on likes and dislikes
They are both fab. As regards to your partners' wants, I have to say whoever my partners are probably think I'm totally schizo with all the variety of things I put up lol
Seriously, I want them both! Hands off the rest of you :-)
Looks like there will be a lot of ladies fighting over these lovelies. I think actually 99% of all the people in the swap are obviously making for me. My poor old postie will get a bad back lugging a big mail bag of goodies to me.
They are both so wonderful! I'm sure my partners are pulling their hair our about me, because I say that I love everything I see - but I really do! I'm not just being nice, everyone has made things that I would have never thought to do, and I love that! I'm having a GREAT time with this swap :-)
Step off my owl Hadley & Sarah!! That owl clearly has my name all over it!!! I really NEED to have it!!
I love that you are running a goody swap involving mug rugs and you haven`t made one before! Lovely mug rugs but I think there is too much red to be mine!
Sounds like fun. There may have to be some mug rugs in my future too!
Drat! I have been eliminated from the owl and rainbow stripe race because I'm not a blogger. If I suddenly start a blog in the next week, does that put me back into the pool?
|They are both fabulous! I know what you mean about people having varied tastes, and I'd probably be in that category too. I have no clue who could be making for me, but I think it just adds to the fun! Everyone is making some pretty amazing stuff.
Those are both great! I love making mug rugs they are great scrap busters.
Your owl mug rug is fantastic!
They are both fab mug rugs but I do particularly love the second one :)
Okay...I have to ask...is the owl your design or is there a pattern out there? I NEED one of these!!
